About Us

Nurse Technology Enhanced Care at Home

A space where nurses, multidisciplinary faculty, community members, and technology partners work together to prevent and manage chronic conditions in adults. We value innovation, inclusiveness, and integrity. We aim to impact the landscape of home care options for persons managing chronic conditions by inventing, testing, and evaluating technologies for practical applications. We define technology as methods, materials, and devices used to solve practical problems. We are guided by integrative nursing principles including a broad contextual view of one’s environment, person-centered and least invasive care, humans are whole beings who are inseparable from their physical and social justice environments, and outcomes should be informed by evidence. All research conducted within the NTECH lab intentionally includes viewing the project through 3 lenses: pragmatic technology application; diversity, equity and inclusion; and environmental impact.
